FAQ About Me and This Site

Hi Mom!

Posted to Articles on Sunday, March 31st, 2002 @ 7:43 PM
Q.
Who are you?
A.
Josh Prowse. At last count, I am 1 of 4 in Canada (the eldest, I believe), but not the one who owes Telus money for unpaid phone bills. That's one of the other Josh Prowses.
Q.
Why did you build this site?
A.
In 1998, I quit my job to write and travel. The site started out on a free webhost as a way for me to chronicle my adventures, post some photos, and get feedback on some other things I'd written earlier. I later registered this domain name and purchased full-featured webspace, so I could try out coolie things like database integration, which makes it a tax write-off. Thus it has become the ravenous, time-devouring White Elephant it is today.
Q.
What will I find here?
A.
We sell lightbulbs. Haven't you figured that out yet? Go buy something.
Q.
No, seriously.
A.
Oh alright. Writing. By me. For now.
Q.
Where do I find your sin writing?
A.
It's "www.yoursINwriting.com." (That said, try poking around in the Prose section.)
Q.
Why would I want to read your writing?
A.
Because you're my mother. Hi Mom! Or maybe you're that rare individual who will invest precious time reading new voices, in the hopes of finding a nugget of humour, wisdom, insight or beauty in the words of others.... Hi Mom!
Q.
How do I get in touch with you?
A.
You can email me at jsp at yoursinwriting dot com. I like mail, and will usually respond to personal email in a day or two.

Mr. Moon

And all the time we knew it was you,
tucked in behind the wheel,
But when we squirmed against our belts
to see your lips move,
Mom would tell us to sit still.
